I've been seeing the new scotch brite stainless steel and stove top cleaning pads. I've looked at them at the store, and I see it's another product that you need to buy disposable sheets for, and it's all a bit pricey, so I have not yet bought them. So, I'm wondering if any of you have used them, and if so, what were your feelings about their quality. Thanks!

Ive tryed both and they are garbage. They both leave a smeary mess you have to go back and clean up with something else. No idea what they were thinking putting these out on the market.

Ditto. I wonder if I can take it back.

Magic Eraser? I never tried that. Thanks!

So, you use magic eraser on both your stainless and your stove top? I'll have to give it a try.

You can take anything back. Just tell them you were not satisfied with their product. If they won't take it back call the number on the package.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I did take it back today. Two people were very interested in why, since they were going to purchase it themselves. I told them it was smeary and the pad was useless because you have to wipe the excess cleaner with a rag anyway.

What a waste of money that was! I didn't like it either.

I haven't used the Scoth Brite, but I've tried a number of methods on the cooktop. What I've found works best is an abrasive stove top cleaner with a scrubbing pad that is covered with loopy plastic or nylon. If I can't get the last bit of food up, I use a flat razor blade or my trusty flat metal spatula. No damage results.

Nicia, take it back. I did and the store (Ingles) didn't give me any grief at all. I had paid $6.00. Too much to waste.
