My son is removing the old linoleum in the basement of his 100 yr. old house in Brooklyn. He seems to be stuck on a piece in the middle of the floor that just won't come up. It is laid over concrete floor. Anyone have any ideas or a product that would help? He has been scraping but to no avail. Thanks Confused

Sometimes old adhesives can be persuaded to be softened with a little heat, like from an electric heat gun or soaking around the edges with even something as mildly acidic as straight vinegar?
