Ordered from shop nbc. Do I need to tip the people that bring it. They are supposed to take the old mattress and springs away or move to another part of the house, or at least thats what they said on the Serta program. Don't quite know what to do? If so how much? Thanks Sue

If all they do is is take one set out and bring one set in with no stairs, I probably wouldn't tip them. If you have stairs, if they are extra nice and don't hit any walls, if they hold up the mattress while you get your bedskirt on the box spring, etc., then I would offer them $10 apiece. Some companies have rules against tipping, so it's also nice to have cold bottles of water available to offer, especially if it's a really hot day.

No, I wouldn't tip. They are working for wages. They knew that when they took their jobs.
Would you tip your UPS or FedX guy/gal? I don't/wouldn't...same kind of deal!

No to the tips for service already paid for as I have posted several times on other threads BUT I totally agree with offering a cold drink - water, iced tea, lemonade or sodas once the work is done. Everyone likes to feel appreciated! Cool

The Matress and springs will be delivered Wed. Will offer something to drink to the delivery people. I sure hope I like the bed. Will let you know how I like the bed set. I never thought I would order something like that off of a shopping show? I did get a computer from QVC last fall and am tickled pink with it!
Thanks for the tips. Sue

if it's exceptional service feel free...yes they pull a paycheck, but often no more tha min wage...i think i gave the driver (he and another young man) a $10 for a delivery and also offered a water...

now today is completely different...have roofers here, and know they get paid quite well...besides they're friends of one of dh's mechanics at work, and would be an insult...

The mattress came yesterday, it's really nice so far. The guys didn't want coffee but left with a bag of warm cookies just out of the oven, timed that right didn't I? ( they moved the old set downstairs for me!)
