Could you recommend a hand held steamer?
I want one to clean bathrooms and upholstered furniture.

I have the Shark Hand Held Steam Cleaner ~ I bought it after watching one of their info-commercials! Big Grin

For the most part, it works pretty well BUT it is certainly not as easy as they make it seem. And, I've never tried to use it to clean upholstery - just general deep-down cleaning in places such as the bathroom and, most particularly, in door and window railings.

What don't I like about it? It occasionally "spits" back at times when you are using it (hurts when you get hit with steam and/or hot water), it also "splatters" the dirt around so you really need to devise some "shields" to keep it contained and the water container is small, so on big jobs, you need to re-fill quite often ~ waiting for it to cool and then re-heat after adding more distilled water can make the job take longer than you anticipated.

On the plus side, it is quite forceful and removes a lot of grit and grime that you would never get simply by hand-scrubbing. Over-all, I like it but don't use it very often due to the time it takes to do the job. However, I have to say that it DOES do a better job than I would be able to do otherwise when I do take the time to use it.

Hope this was helpful... Cool
