DH just bought a brand new grill.

Neighborhood stray cat decides to spray it, evidently thinks it's his.

Problem? It won't come off. You can see the streaks where it dripped.

Anyone got any good ideas of how to get it off? We tried windex and steel wool. It's still there.

I always use white vinegar. Rinse the vinegar off after you remove the cat urine.

There is a cleaner made especially for stainless steel. You can find it at the big box stores, or maybe even Wally world. Don't know if it'll get those streaks, though. The ammonia in the urine may have etched the surface.

I wonder if that would work on the planters on my front porch too. That darn cat likes that too.

Not heard of the vinegar...I will try it too. I've used the Weiman wipes for stainless...it seems it's the only product that I like...I've tried all the other tips and ideas..

Have you tried Barkeepers Friend? I use it to clean my stainless steel cookware and it does a great job. Well I use it on a lot of things and it is really a good cleaner.

Use of vinegar is suitable for cleaning stainless steel. As we know that it is in liquid form so it may penetrate more deeply into the region which results in nice cleaning.
