i finally located and purchased a bottle but after reading all the directions and precautions am afraid to use it! Eek i have a fiberglass tub w/sliding shower doors and usually stand inside w/doors closed to clean. am i going to be overcome w/fumes? directions recommend not using on glazed surfaces; so, should i NOT use it on the tile walls? i thought it was an all purpose bathroom cleaner but now am not sure. Maggiejoe, I used the Works once, and it tarnished the brass-plated shower fixtures. Don't know what it would do to chrome. And the aroma is pretty strong.

MaggieJoe, I have had real good results using Arm and Hammers "Clean Shower". You can use it daily,I have had good results using it once a week on the fiberglas shower surround and the glass sliding doors. It has a pleasant smell and no fumes to take you out.Frank

I have used The Works for years in my bathroom. I have hard water and it works better than anything else I have tried. I have a fiberglass tub and surround. I just spray it on and wipe it off. I also spray it on the shower curtain liner. The fumes are pretty strong but the exhaust fan usually takes care of them.

I don't have to use it very often but use it on the textured acrylic base of our stand up shower in the main bathroom. I have the exhaust fan on and kind of squirt it around and let it sit for a bit, then scrub with a nylon scrubby or brush. I don't think I would get in the shower with the stuff, as the smell could get strong and I would have BARE feet?

I do not use it on metals, nor have I used it on tiles, so I can't really comment. If you have any health concerns, or breathing issues, it may be too strong unless you vent well. (The labels warnings don't scare me that much, as they have to list every possible problem people could have due to lawsuits) You might save it for those really difficult areas, rather than use it often as an all purpose cleaner.

Many years ago I had a cleaning lady that used The Works on my brand new kitchen faucet and totally ruined the finish on it. I really like Kaboom for the faucets. I also really like Soft Scrub for the shower walls and floor.
