What do you use to clean marble tile in a shower? Is it difficult to clean the grout?

Marble (real marble) is usually installed without open grout joints (tight fitting in other words), due to cleaning issues. There may be some porcelain or ceramic tile that looks like marble, however.

Marble can easily absorb stains and can be etched with any cleaners that are acidic.
Just my opinion, but due to hard water issues...I would not install it in a shower.

If you have it already, there are cleaners and polishes that can help protect the surface. Check labels...they will say it is safe for marble. We use GelGloss cleaner/polish on our marble fireplace surround.

I have real marble in my shower and on the master bath floor. The tile on the walls has high sheen and it a course of stone between very glossy large granite tiles. The floor in the shower and bath are honed. It does have very tight joints. I use cleaners that are formulated for marble and stone. Acid cleaners will etch stone so be careful. I use a cleaner and a sealer by Stone Tech. I seal the marble twice a year and have had no problems. Our shower has been in use for 6 years so it's not new by any means.

I just went to E How and looked up marble tile to clean, use ammonia and warm water in a spray bottle leave on few minutes and wipe off with a micro cloth and buff dry, U should seal marble when it's clean and this will help with the soap and hard water, also always dry your shower when done.

I clean my marble tiled shower with dish liquid and a scrub brush. I squirt some soap over the surface, and scrub away for a little bit, working up a nice bunch of bubbles, then I rinse. Easy peasy.
