This house has lots of porcelain tile and the builder didn't get all the 'grout -glaze' off even tho they SAid they mopped it half - dozen times. It doesn't feel as smooth as it should. What should I do to get it clean?

You might want to try going to a store that specializes in Tiles and ask them. My daughter was renting a house that had all tile and it always felt sandy, even right after mopping, it NEVER felt clean. Even right after mopping with water and ammonia she would walk around in white socks and they would immediately get dirty, so I think it wasn't sealed properly. Also, companies like Stanley Steemer clean tile, maybe they can help.

If that is epoxy glue in some areas, an acid is needed to remove it.
If grout, as the other person stated, a flooring store/kitchen-bath store could help you.
