I saw this on a blog and thought it was too cute. They had the word "FAMILY" on wood blocks in their living room.I liked this idea for my craft room and made it with my name and hubbys. We used a 8 foot board bought at a home center,,cost was 1.97,hubby cut it in sections for me.(If you can not cut the wood the home stores will cut for you). I used a distressed looking scrapbook paper as the back ground,,love that distressed look! Then used my cricut to cut the letters out on a heavy black card stock.Used mod podge to adhere it to the wood blocks and a ribbon stapled to the back and hung from a pretty black wrought iron curtain rod.The first letter N is comming loose from the wood,I didnt add enough glue to the back of it,learning mistake! :P LOL I will take it down and re glue it when the tall son comes over..LOL Thanks for letting me share. This project cost me 1.97...gotta love that!
BTW..Welcome to the boards. Haven't seen you in here before and sure hope you come back. Things are a little slow right now, but we do have fun and love sharing ideas.

Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them, but you always know they're there.
Great project and I love the price. I am doing something similiar for my dd's room - if I can ever get the time. It is all planned in my mind but just need to get started.

Very epic. As it is, it is very formal. If I maybe allowed to suggest, you can add pictures and ornaments at a side of each letter plaque. Let's call our cute crafts mini-scrapbooks.
