I have no idea what you are talking about. Has Ahmed Hassan been replaced? I will have to leave Home Depot then. I have been hanging out at Home Depot for a long time now hoping that Ahmed will come home with me. Say it isn't so! How do you know that?

I love this show! I hope this isn't true. This is one of the very few shows I watch on the Real Estate Channel, oops, I mean HGTV.

This is about the only one I watch. Why would they replace him? Unless he wanted to leave? THis a dumb thing to do -to replace somebody as good as Ahmed is. I hope it's not true.

What a sad day for HGTV to have let him leave, whatever the reason. He was the nicest man on any of the shows. I refuse to watch all of the NY real estate poppycock salesmen. That show is a disgrace. Why does HGTV CEO'S think any normal person wants to watch the Real estate shows with all of those fools prancing around talking as if what they think or say means a thing to the normal people of this world.

Guys, unfortunately it's true!! Matt Blashaw is the new host, don't know who the new host on Turf War is!! Yeah DIY and HGTV have the tendency of replacing the hosts without notice, and bring in new ones, and say "here you go". I like Matt, but I tried to watch Yard Crashers with him, something just wasn't right!!! I wonder what the ratings of both shows without Ahmed, not good, I am sure.

I'm sure another network will snap him up and his legions of fans will follow, he's got the total package.

Maybe they thought too many people recognized him in the stores?
I do think he brought A LOT of himself to the shows and made it much more fun.
He will be missed. I haven't seen too many new ones recently but thought he was still on.

This show is actually a "loaner" from DIY network, so blame them, I guess? They of the same parent network...the same ones who got rid of Paul James and his garden show. That was still the best, by far, GARDEN show on the former HGARDENTV.

As for the hanging out in HD, I believe that he usually was in Lowe's, and orginally in someplace (not near me) called OSH.

There is a good link on his facebook page about an attempt to get DIY to listen and get him back.

Never posted anything about anything on any site, ever.(sad, really). Anyway, I mean no disrespect to Mr. Matt Blashaw as I am sure he is a lovely person. However, I already know that Mr. Ahmed Hassan rocks. I am crushed. My husband even ecouraged me to post. And he gets tired of HGTV!!! Look to see Mr. Hassan in the NEAR future. Note to any network: You need to warn/explain, or something to the loyal viewers when such changes are made. As you can see, it really makes us mad to have the rug pulled out from under us. One day, I will hire Mr. Hassan for my own yard. Until then, my husband and I will not watch YC until Mr. Hassan returns. Take care.

Wow. Just wow. How does an executive justify the firing of the personality that created the CRASHERS brand? Yard Crashers was the original and its success largely (perhaps solely) due to Ahmed.

Matt Blashaw seems to be the go-to-guy for shows they want to fail. First Professional Grade, now this.

My husband and I got up early on Saturday mornings just to watch Ahmed. He was so fun, so energetic, but so on point and so knowledgeable! My husband told me to write and that says a lot. I think they need to re-think this decision and find a way to get him back. Nothing against Matt but he is boring, boring, boring.

There are probably many people who just started watching this show and like it and never heard of Ahmed. Then there are people who will complain about the change of hosts and continue to watch it anyway.

HGTV has nothing to reconsider because it will continue to have its viewership.

Ahmed being replaced may just come down to ** - he wanted more and the producers wouldn't pay it.

Matt was cheaper.

In this case they are getting what they paid for! A show that is probably going to crash!

I just don't watch it any more! I check to see if it is a re-run or Matt. If it's Ahmed, then it's time to watch! I really want him back!

I must say that I'm a great and loyal viewer of HGTV and Yard Crashers and I was so extremely disappointed to see that Ahmed Hassan has been replaced by Matt. Ahmed brought fire, excitement, and such an appealing personality to the show and I will not be viewing Yard Crashers anymore until his absence from the show is explained and why he was replaced. I have also viewed the new guy, Matt on the show and I'm sorry, while he's a good guy, but the show is just not the same without Amhed. So, if Amhed is not hosting, I will be turning my channel to view something else. Please fix or address this HGTV!

New viewers will watch Matt and think he's great and then see Ahmed in reruns and will say "Wow, I'm glad they got rid of him!" People don't like change and resent substitutes.

Few people ever like the new guy/gal.

I am sure that Matt is a great guy but Ahmed has "It" and either you have "IT" OR you don't. Good Luck to Matt and I can't wait until Ahmed lands at another network and HGTV has you to watch Matt while everyone else is tuning into Ahmed.

It may be dollars and cents for HGTV on pay, but it can also impact them by everyone letting Home Depot know you will not be visiting as often. Ahmed inspired us to think that we can make it happen in our own private retreats. I felt a true connection with Ahmed that after giving Matt a try I still don't feel with him. Just like Paul James, Ahmed has a wink and a smile and is in on the laugh while having a great time. I wish Matt the best but I am waiting on Ahmed to inspire us to another channel. Too bad HGTV! My Neilson card gives you a thumbs down!

I really hate to see Ahmed go. It was the one HGTV show that my husband loved. Another good HGTV/DIY host bites the dust.

I am quite sure Matt is a great guy and that his family loves him to pieces but I feel he's not an intertaining host, he lacks the 'It' factor that others have mentioned. I wish Matt, the best of luck, I truly do, he's just not my cup of tea. I am not upset by change, I more often than not welcome it, but I've given it months and honestly I didn't care for Matt on any other show so expecting to like him on this one was foolish of me. I will wait patiently for Ahmed to land somewhere where his personality and 'It' factor can shine. Hey HGTV, big mistake as far as I'm concerned. FYI, as soon I see Yard Crashers come on and Matt's hosting I change the channel and generally get involved watching that and never go back to HGTV for the rest of the day. So how's getting rid of Ahmed working out for you??? I really ***** for me. Frown
