Love this show and it has reinvigorated my desire to retire to Hawaii. However, while you say anyone can afford to live in Hawaii, all you wind up showing are people who can afford over $1million. What about the rest of us who can only afford $300,000? Can you have more shows with more reasonable home prices? There's no way that someone like me can tell if I can indeed afford to live in Hawaii and what the houses in my price range would look like. Thank you!
OMG I agree with you 100%
I do not think it is cheap to live in hawaii, I could never buy there, but luv Hawaii
someday MAYBE we could go there on vacation, but buying? LOL I don't think so
UNLESS we win the lottery?
They have shown a variety of budgets well under the million dollar range. I'm thinking I have seen some from $300,000 up? I do enjoy watching and seeing the various houses, but my biggest problem with this show is that I don't believe any of these people bought any of these houses. They may say at the end they bought this house, but they NEVER show the people actually in the house they chose at the end; we are not shown any renovations or the family actually actually living in the house and how they may have decorated. This show should be called "Open Houses in Hawaii."
I guess I am spoiled from all the House Hunter episodes where you actually get to see the people living in the homes and how they decorated once they moved in.
I've only watched a few shows but one couple, Kristin and Tony with twins did buy their house recently. I live in Kona and checked the property tax records because I was curious to see if it was real. Another couple, Ken and Sandi Twist, bought their home in 2009. Maybe they advertised for people who live in various locations so they could pretend to want to buy their own house. Can't remember what they "paid" for the home now but they originally bought it for $700,000. I hope they made a profit when they rebought it!
The show where Felipe and Akiko bought in Waikoloa was not true.
OMG what the networks will do on tv?????
geeshhhh I don't like lying and deceit
I have admit the scenery is beautiful
so are most of the homes there
