Scott McGillivray of Income Property. I believe it was your show I was watching where someone was having their basement converted to an income appt. and the area they choose had bad cat urine issues on the cement floor. What was it you used to clean it and how? Does anyone know?? Thank you!

I saw it- but I don't remember the substance. I am sure a home improvement store could tell you. If I remember they had to cover it and leave overnight then clean in the morning.

If you check online, you'll find numerous suggestions. First, you must clean the floor and allow it to dry completely. For cleaners, you can try a vinegar or bleach solution, an enzyme cleaner or muriatic acid.

After it dries, it's very important to properly seal it with an oil-based sealant, i.e. no Thompson's.

Good Luck!
