The newest episodes of Kitchen Cousins have been really different. They are doing new things and I really like their work.
A see-through garage door in the kitchen was their latest project and that is a little over the top for me, but the homeowner liked it. It opened up the kitchen to a lovely outdoor area. They did this kitchen for Vanessa Williams' brother and she liked it fine.
John also asked his girl friend to marry him on this episode. His girl friend had wanted to meet Vanessa Williams so he had her join him in California and meet Vanessa and then proposed to her.
I really like these shows and this is just my opinion.

Chuck Steak, I agree..the proposal was irrelevant to the show, but I didn't mind that at all. It gave some personal insight to the cousins and I liked that more than some of the things that Meg does while trying to follow HGTV's guidelines which include being entertaining as well as designing a space.
This is just my opinion.

I thought the cousins did a great job making the kitchen beautiful and functional. The back splash was a needed pop of color. I thought the glass garage door was a unique touch allowing in lots of natural light. Since it was totally private, it was a great way to flow in and out when entertaining. I just wonder how energy efficient the garage doors are.
The girlfriend proposal was sweet. It shows that the cousins are nice Jersey boys that are as star struck as the rest of us by Vanessa Williams.
I just saw the episode with the garage door in the kitchen. Bad idea and I'll bet it comes out when it is time to sell! There is a reason no one has come up with this idea before!

They just renovated a house in Point Pleasant, NJ, that was flooded by Hurricane Sandy, for the Ellen show. They also announced their new show for HGTV starting on Jan. 2 (I think). It sounded like they would be expanding the reno projects. It shouldn't be too hard for them since they own a construction company. They seem to be good guys that worked around the clock to get the NJ home ready for Thanksgiving. I remember they rescued a single mom's reno after her contractor took a powder. They not only fixed her kitchen; they added a deck that had been torn down. They do the job right with safety, functionality and beauty in mind.
