I absolutley love most of the shows on HGTV! It is one of my favorite channels to watch! I am a female in the construction industry,(Ready Mix Concrete)and I am always surprised by a mistake I hear constantly on tv. (Not just HGTV) When you are pouring pavers, a slab, or otherwise it is called Concrete. (NOT cement) It is a concrete truck NOT a cement truck. Cement is an "ingredient" that goes in concrete. (Kinda like the "flour" in a cake batter) I was just wondering with Tv producers, directors, editors, and everyone that is normally involved in a television show, why someone has not researched this? I know silly...just a pet peeve in our industry!
Other members of your industry have mentioned this before. You must know that the average person uses the terms interchangably and that the terminology only matters to people who do it for a living.
(and as an aside... yes I am bored this afternoon )
