I am with you. Lisa LaPorta especially would demonstrate such a great combination of talent plus professional courtesy. Life imitates art: We need to put more courtesy out into the universe.

I agree. With so many home owners still struggling to sell homes,we need Design to Sell more than ever. All the design teams helped the home owners tremendously, and Clive and Lisa had great chemistry on camera. They were entertaining and professional.

Another reason I miss Design to Sell is that is was among the most instructive shows on HGTV, and among the most creative as well. The designers explained the choices they made, and they adapted materials since they were on a limited budget. Sabina Soto is doing the same on the High/Low Project. Most people are trying to decorate within tight budget constraints. Every day people can learn from a professional and apply the principles to their own homes.

I agree, as much as I love Buying and Selling with Drew and Jonathan, Designed to Sell is what got me to watch HGTV. I love all the crew, but I love Clive, Lisa, and their crew in L.A. the best, we need shows like Designed to Sell more than ever.

I AGREE WITH ALL THE ABOVE, but did you notice how HGTV gets everything backwards? When the economy was flying high and real estate was thriving, they did shows like Designed to Sell, Decorating Cents, Design on a Dime, etc. All excellent shows but not necessarily all that timely. Now that the economy is in the cellar, they do Million Dollar Rooms, Million Dollar Pools, MegaDens, and all the other high end shows. Go Figure.

The Million Dollar Homes, Pools, etc. probably cost HGTV very little money and time to do. All they need is some rich guy to invite them to their incredible home and a day to film. The Design to Sell shows took them at least a week of production, the contractors, the designer and host and the $2,000 for materials. The price of materials has gone up quite a bit so HGTV would have to be willing to donate more than $2,000. Even with the additional costs, I think HGTV would get a lot of viewers because it is so creative and informative.
