I'm not sure if this is behind the paywall at WSJ but there is a show on "Antenna" a Greek TV network in the US. The show is Hellenic Home Hunting that follows American, European and Asian buyers trying to cash in on bargains in Greece.

Sounds like with a little creative re-editing it could become more episodes for House Hunters International. The format sounds identical, change the narrator and the opening and closing credits and HGTV has new content. /sarc

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

CC,
I just looked and apparently we have it in the lower tier channels in Raleigh. It is channel 118, it looks like there is a local affiliate station so they carry it.

We have a Greek Orthodox Church in Raleigh so I guess we have enough of a population that someone is carrying it. I can't say I've ever watched this channel.

I searched on my cable system directory on the DVR and I can't find the show. From the article it sounds just like House Hunters International.
