I see where The Cousins have a new show beginning in October. First there was Kitchen Cousins...then Cousins on Call and now a new one..Cousins Undercover.
The Scott boys had Property Brothers...then Buying & Selling and now Brother vs Brother.
How do some people get show after show and other people cannot get even one renewal of their season?
The same is true with promotion. Some shows are advertised over and over and others...not at all.
I taped and watched "Catastrophe, Inc" yesterday. I liked this show...they help people in need. They don't just renovate, they fix the ongoing problem so it won't happen again.
I watched Brother vs Brother last night. It was different from the brothers' other shows. I will watch it again.
I read about the "Catastrophe,Inc" from a Scripps article about new shows. This one sounded like a good one. Many of us have mentioned our concerns about disaster here, disaster there...nice to know that there's a show covering this topic.
Looking forward in seeing the shows....wonder which friend/family member I have to visit to do so?
My guess is that if the viewers really like a host and the host doesn't require a high budget salary and doesn't complain about long taping hours, they are the ones HGTV offers show after show. We all know the ones offered the most shows are not always the most talented.
This looks exactly like the old Debbie Travis' show Facelift (which was an awful title for a show hosted by a woman of a certain age).
Yet another rushed design show.
Owners get a complete makeover -- that's likely over-the-top for their house and neighborhood anyway -- in three days.
I have seen some of the promos for Cousins Undercover and it looks like they go in and do the work without the homeowners knowing they are doing it. What is with that? I went to the show's website, but the videos there did not play.
I watched this show last night. I liked it. It was fast moving and the Cousins had a lot of help from family and friends. They did the renovation in a week which is not long, but better than three days. The homeowner was told that they would be renovating her bathroom and she was really surprised to find her entire home and yard were included in the finished project. The Cousins went out of their way to provide personal touches unique to the homeowner. Anyone have an opinion on this show?
mriley, I liked the show as well. It reminds me of ABC's Extreme Makeover, only better. The remodel was wonderful without being over-the-top. Can't wait to see more episodes!
Not sure I like the rush rush concept of these shows. They don't show the planning that goes in to it. A NYC magazine has stated that Anthony is dating Genevieve Border. YES Genevieve Border.
