I like this show. I liked seeing the selection process with the house and the renovation. The homeowners were a nice couple and that was good to see. I really don't like all the manufactured drama and discord that other shows have.

The one tonight with the guys in LA "flats" was fantastic, IMHO.
I don't see this as similar to Property Bros. The guys' renos. took 10 months and more than $500K and the design was amazing. No one promised them that for a low budget and a few weeks of one bro's and a few helpers' work, they could have everything some much higher priced property would have. They didn't choose the same ol', same ol' renos that all 20 somethings pick (in HGTV world, anyway). And, they paid for quality and they got it.
Given that we've heard so much of HH is fake, from the search, to the realtors, to the 'explanation' given for why people are looking and who's who...I wonder what's real and fake about ALL shoes on HGTV now.
One would THINK that on this show that even if the search part is fake the OTHER parts of it must be real, given the time frames all the work takes.
For example: -- the couple (I KNEW he was from NY before they even said it -- just the accent and his entire demeanor gave him away gave him away) with the wife loved moldings.... her family must really have owned the woodworking company right? WHy make that up? -- or the male couple who bought in the 'flats' of LA...the reno took eight months and they were still a couple...or was that a fake story line?
I just marvel at how the HH producers keep this show alive, with so many incarnations....now it's HHE renovations. Stop if already. You've had a good run. Let it go.
I've seen three episodes, and I guess the designs at the end are nice enough. I watch a bit of HGTV, but nothing has hooked me in YEARS.
