I can't believe that of all the premises for a TV show - given HGTV's utterly dreadful options - that THIS is a show I like.

Obviously it's totally set up. But I have to say Ice is respectful. And the Amish I've seen on the show are very endearing and engaging

CLEARLY the Amish are known for their great craftsmanship, which I have never tired of seeing.

The premise of the show is the "fish out of water" theme with the common appreciation of craftsmanship. Though clearly somewhat contrived, both the Amish (surprisingly comfortable on camera)and Vanilla Ice seem to respect each other and appreciate the work they do to help out members of the community by renovating and building. I thought the show was entertaining and enjoyable.
