I agree. I really enjoyed both episodes. When I saw this on the tv guide I wondered who the designer was then I saw Danielle was the designer and it was her show I tuned in to watch it.
I loved the scenes when she went shopping with her aunt to all the various vintage shops. More than other shows before that I've watched, it felt so much more accessible in that I felt "oh I can do that. Go to a neighbourhood shop and find some inexpensive gems". I absolutely loved the custom shutters for the beach themed kitchen. Looks like I'll be adding this to my list of must-watch shows like my fave Elbow Room.
I didn't watch Design Star until the last two episodes so I really didn't have any favorites. But I really like Danielle! I only caught the second of her new show and I loved it! She is so presentable and just seemed to make her show fun to watch; very bubbly (but not overly done); good chemistry with her carpenter and the shop owners. Will definitely be watching this show again!

This show is a hit!! Nice designs - no screaming or sledge hammers. Good practical tips with the shopping scenes. Down to earth home owners with normal houses. I hope there are many more episodes.
Love Danielle and her new show! While watching Design Star, I just knew she'd be great having her own show. I record every one of her shows and been enjoying them very much.

Chiming in to say that I am liking Danielle's show as well. Danielle is personable and likable and her style is appealing. It's also nice to have a NY based show where a designer goes to all these shops I've never even seen nor would know about (and I'm from NY). Wow, it's a double hit for me!
I really like this show too. Danielle is easy to watch and she explains what she is doing. I like that she designs for her clients, not for the viewers. I hope she gets a regular season.
