I have to admit this show is my new guilty pleasure. In fact I actually registered so that I could post on the message boards.

I do realize that much of it scripted and at times think realtor, designer, home owners are just way out of lone. However for some reason I get a kick out of watching them. Even when I know the probable ending. (The 3rd house will be perfect, the reveal is fabulous and the arguments are staged) it's just fun to watch.

I would like to see updates... did they sell the house? Did they keep it? What they actually spent the money on for renovation?

Has anyone else ever wonder why HO don't come up with more ** when it is obviously a unforeseeable structure set back.

I would love to use this thread to discus which ever show is currently showing and just dish about the HO or David or Hillary.

The show that is on right now is No where to go but up...with Kim and Richard.

In this one the HO are so unrealistic Hillary is given a $40,000 budget for a kitchen and basement and David is given a $550,000 budget. How is that even fair?

Let the drama begin....

I too enjoy the show, just not the unrealistic budget, or the H>O> rudeness and am not fond of the endless repeats, but get excited about the end results Hilary produces that is fantastic, luv it!!!

Hi! Well then you and I can talk about when we see a show. I am always amazed when HO want 100,000 worth of worth for 50 grand.

I think the way at any given show...the way HO or even Hillary and David talk to each other. I mean really? What professional talks like that?

I know that if something like mold or water HAD to fixed...I would be thrilled she found it and fixed it. I would be quick to add a little more to get her original vision completed... they really do great work.

Nice to meet you... as you can guess I am new to the boards. I like a few of the other shows but I do miss the old HGTVS shows I use to watch... Clean Sweep, Color Wheel, designing for the sexes, Debbie Travis, Designed to sell, Curb Appeal etc....

and the Several homes in particular had supporting beams that were too small or defective and had to be brought up to code, good thing their floor could have fallen in,but the cost of the basement redo was compromised and the H.O. got upset? not a logical reaction IMO

But the house still looked great in the end, despite the problems

I not going to say I LIKE it. I don't know that I care enough about ANY show on HGTV to say that I LIKE it.
I will say I WATCH it sometimes. (never an entire show, every scene, plus commercials. I tune in and out.)

And now that I've accepted all the fakery of it, and just watch for the reveal and walkthroughs to the see SOME of the houses...I don't dislike it enough NOT watch it.

IF, IF I'm watching, I also can pick up ideas on SOLUTIONS for problems that come up. (because L-rd knows problems come up on this show.)

When HIllary says we'll move this here, because of XYZ, or a floor is sagging, or pipes need to be relaid, or a wall has an issue...we DO LEARN what to do in those situations ..... how it's fixed, what to consider. I do appreciate and like that I'm learning those kinds of things which can be good for a homeowner to know.
