Have not watched this show in ages. Turn it on tonight and remember why I don't watch anymore. $135,000 budget and they expect to find everything on their wish list. She doesn't want a "shower curtain bathroom" and every basement is "disgusting and creepy". Oh, and she's one of those nutty coupon people and needs room for her "stockpile". Where do they find these people?!!!

It used to be one of my favorite shows but the drab filming of it and the emphasis of the drama have sucked the life out of it for me. Long for the days of Suzanne Whang and how the show was filmed back then.

I saw the same show. A very eccentric couple.

I still like this show the best of all of HGTV's offerings. However, I do get awfully tired of the spoiled, picky "youngsters" (young professionals) who have to have everything NOW! Talk about self-centered. I also tire of the way one or both of them tears each property down yet will take one of them. It's so predictable and when they do choose and move in, they then suddenly love the place. I still watch because I love to see other people's homes but would like more realism. I know this is very un-PC, but episodes that feature couples of the same gender are immediately turned off.

I so agree about young people who need 4,000 sf, granite, stainless, 4 bedrooms, master bedrooms the size of a regular size house.... I watch and think no wonder the housing market fell through, how can these people afford these starter mansions.....This message has been edited. Last edited by: Airstreamingypsy,

I'm watching one now and the wife hates basements and the houses are all too brown... good grief. Someone tell her there's paint, you can change brown.

Airstream-that must be the one where the wife just had to live by her sister on the south side of town and even though her husband has to drive one and half hours to work each way. I thought wow, she couldn't even meet half way between the two locations at the house they both liked, it had to be her location near her sister and make her husband drive the long distance. I couldn't believe that episode.

That's the one... the husband had to drive 1.5 hours to the roping arena, that he could see from one house. I bet they don't stay married 5 years.

Great idea for a couple new shows "House Hunters-Bankruptcy Court" and "House Hunters-Divorce Court".

House Hunters is my absolute favorite! I watch them over and over- especially love the international shows to see how the rest of the world lives. RE : the brats that want it all- I sold real estate for 10 years, and encountered more and more of them. Found myself running out of patience to the point that I actually left the business.

I am watching a episode this morning that I don't know who to be mad at more the young asian client who is being so rude to her realtor and being very demanding by wanting everything perfect. Or her realtor who is bad mouthing her client during her private talks through out the show. Realtor needs to try to find homes that meet her clients needs or just tell her to go to another agency.

Sometimes there's no connection between what the clients say they want and the houses they are shown. Its crazy. They want a two story with 2 bathrooms... the second house they are shown is a one story with one bathroom.... then which one do they buy? The one floor. I watched one last night, a young couple who specifically wanted to live downtown in Chicago, and they were shown one place that was two subway stops away from downtown... huh? None of the three places were what they described...... "View of the lake" "High floor" When they asked which will they choose I was thinking... none, none were what you said you want.

I liked house hunters so much better before when the focus was really on the houses. Not the focus is on the drama and the people. I find that unappealing.
I long for the days of Suzanne Whang.

I saw that too and agreed with you about the client--obviously they were both being coached to be jerks.
But I think if this happens in reality, Realtors may have to (as politely as possible) be upfront with clients that their budget simply does not cover their wishlist (if that's true). I notice that on the new Property Virgins, this happens fairly frequently but it's pretty late in the process. If I were a Realtor I do not think I would have as much patience with my time's being wasted by someone who is obviously unrealistic.

Ok, speaking of Property Virgins, is Sandra's new show on yet, does anyone know? I think it was called Buy Herself.

I have looked through the schedule and haven't seen that show listed. I would love to see it.

Remember in the original HH episodes where they had the segment where they showed the potential homeowners, wired for sound, and the phone rings and they exclaim, "We got the house!" Well, they still have unnecessary drama but at least they don't waste time showing us a narrator who has nothing to do with the homeowners. Waste of air time.

I love HH and HHI. But am I the only one that cannot stand the stupid twangy guitar effect when the couple find something they don't like? "I love the house so far, but wait...is that a laminate countertop?" ((twang!)) Oh, that gets on my last nerve something fierce!
