How did Logan and his fantasy forest not win? I could maybe forgive that if he was beaten by a better room, but Oliver's room?
And worse yet, he came in 4th???
ARGH!

I was just the opposite - I cheered when he went home. IMO, his room - while imaginative - was a mess. He may have been slightly better than the blonde who went home next. Yes, he had good vision but his execution wasn't all that great. His personality stunk - he thought he was SO much better than everyone else. I have to say, I've agreed pretty much with the judges on all the episodes with a few minor disappointments.

We basically agreed, also - although we would have eliminated the white room first. He was a close second, however. He did have some good ideas but he needed to pivot and remove those walls and especially that curtain when they didn't work. The fourth wall is imaginary, to us, so no need to construct anything there.
The winner had the flexibility to shift gears and change his design when his initial plan didn't work. Also agreed with the winner's use of the budget. Loved the robot but believed she needed to use the candy more extensively - she could have easily done it. The candy gears worked (she didn't need to shift them, lol) but she needed to take it farther.
I always try to ignore the snark b/c to me that's editing to create faux drama for the show. We've pretty much agred with the judges, too. Wasn't impressed with Dina Manzo - don't believe she has the skills for that task. (Ok, whatever. Hope her show's gone for good, BTW.) We respect Jamie's opinion and appreciate his comments. David probably has an extra vote or the final say, in the end.
All of the above, IMHO.This message has been edited. Last edited by: bballdays,

I like the winning room. It is well done, polished and the desigh was well executed. THe robot room was also very well done , however, the challenge was to use the candy and her room was sparse. PLus the room was a bit bare with just the robot in it. Although I don't watch her show, I think Dina's comments were appropriate. Love this show a lot and will continue to watch.

I really liked the robot room but I think the judges made the right decision

Dina did a better job than I expected. Have a hard time seeing her as a designer. Saw a few of those cheapy party rooms on her show - didn't expect her to have the vision for the more creative efforts.
JMHO.

Have to disagree with the OP. The girl's fantasy room was a hot mess! Too many ideas going in too many directions.
And the other eliminated room? Kind of looked like an art installation at the recycling plant. I think the judges were very kind with the positive things they said.
As for the two remaining rooms.... I liked them both- but Oliver embraced the candy more than the robot room- so I think he really did deserve to win!

I was disappointed overall with these rooms; however, I have to agree that they did pick the right room to win, even though his personality was a little odd. The robot room was my favorite, but she didn't listen when David flat out told her it was a candy challenge and she needed more candy. Had she covered the sofa with black strands of licorice, she may have won.
