Just wanted to pop in here and mention what a pleasure it was to watch Jared and Courtney search for their house-and renovate-last night!! I usually watch the first twenty minutes of this show and then flip the channel to something else, but Jared and Courtney convinced me to keep watching. Two people in California, searching for a house, admitting they're not "outdoors" people and didn't want a pool, wanted a good backyard for a dog and respected each others differences. Who'd have thunk it?!?!?!
It was refreshing and fun and I wish HGTV had more couples like them!!!

Iwatched this show a couple of nights ago. The couple bought a repossession that was in horrible shape. All they could talk about was restoring the mouldings and millwork. Just once, I'd like to hear, "How old is the roof?" "Is the foundation sound? (A big deal where there's earthquake risk)" "What kind of heating system does it have?" "How old is the waterheater?", etc, etc. Just once.
