I Love the shows where the homeowners yard is fixed up to a thing of beauty. I also love yard crashers but you need to have friends to help with that one and ours are a long time dead, sad as it is. I watched a curb appeal show yesterday with small houses like my own, and what was done to the house and yard was so lovely. I guess I know what the homeowner feels like when you are just getting by and extra money for flowers is just not first on the balance sheet.Lovely people on theses shows as well. Thanks HGTV.

If you are referring to the Curb Appeal: The Block episodes yesterday where John Giddings and his merry crew fix up the home belonging to a young singer and later, the two young sisters' Folk Victorian makeover, then I have to agree with you 100 percent.
I was home sick and used that down time to catch up on some afternoon TV. I was enthralled and very entertained with the CA shows. I became intrigued with the charming East Atlanta neighborhood of Reynoldstown and how it's become the home of so many diverse folks, from young families and singles to old-timers.
These episodes were taped in 2010; here's hoping that the area has continued to grow and thrive. I'd love to see an update.
Yes, exactly what I was watching. I wish there were more shows like this, or even a follow up to today and where the people are now. The HGTV people were great too.

Johns Facebook page is talking about his one-hour special that's airing tonight. The shows no longer got "The Block" in the title - as my DVR so rudely made me realize last weekend by not recording it!!!
