I had my DVR scheduled to tape Salvage Dawgs (1/10/13) and just watched the two episodes tonight. Absolutely love it! It is just like American Pickers except it seems to be a bigger operation. Love the two guys who are the main characters. It is not a design show but I love the salvage idea and going into old buildings and getting out anything that could be re-used. I hope this show has more episodes as I definitely want to see more.

I also like this show. It obviously copies from American Pickers, but at least it has a different twist. I like the concept about these two guys who salvage things from buildings slated for demolition. In some cases, they repurpose their findings in cool ways before reselling them in their shop. Did you see the show where the woman who runs their shop turned a salvaged clawfoot tub into a couch? It was inspired by Holly Golightly's couch in Breakfast at Tiffany's. You can see it here: http://blackdogsalvage.blogspo...posed-claw-foot.html

Kris, I did see that episode about the clawfoot tub turned into a couch. I wasn't sure how comfortable that couch could be though. Even with sanding where they cut the section out for a person's legs to hang, it still looked like sharp corners. It was definitely an interesting concept! I really hope they show more episodes. If this show was originally on the DIY network, I hope they bring more shows over to HGTV as I don't receive the DIY network.

I don't know about sharp corners, but I know what you mean. Still, I give them points for making something very unexpected, creative and fun. It makes a statement. My neighbor owns a hair salon. She'd love to have a couch like that in her waiting area.
