My name is Claudiya and I'm new to the site. Does anyone know what has happened to Suzanne Whang? With the new shows of 2008, she's doing the voice over only, I haven't seen her on any shows later than 2007, and tonight on the New episode, there is a different person doing the voice over. Any help with this is much appreciated. I have been puzzled for a while.
Hi Claudyia, there has been several posts about Suzanne and the new season. If you haven't had a chance to read those, you might want to. None of really knows what happened to her. Sometimes it is Suzanne doing the voice-overs and sometimes it is the other lady. Suzanne did the week long beach house edition a month or so ago. I would love to know what HGTV is doing, but there is no way they will ever say!

I too am wondering what happened to Suzanne, I really enjoy seeing her on the show. It's not the same without her, even if she is doing voice overs. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

I do miss Suzanne Whang. I do not like the new voice over person, Suzanne brings life to the show. Since the back story of these peoples lives are often too long and unneeded, Suzanne made it more bearable! Bring back Suzanne!
As Suzanne is an actor, she may have gotten more satisfying work than reading lines about someone's house. I don't know this, of course, but I'm sure she'd leave the minute she got a better offer for a regular part in addition to her Vegas character.
I don't know what happened to Suzanne, I miss her too. However, the voice over lady is the one who hosts Buy Me. Of course I can't remember her name at the moment but she is pretty good on her show. Maybe she will improve.
UGH! Suzanne Whang was part of the reason for the long success of House Hunters. The new voice is annoying. Why does HGTV take off the hosts with personality (like Suzanne and Rick Spence) and replace them with monotones?

Really? Every time I've watched Buy Me, it's been a guy doing the voice over. Kind of a spooky-voiced guy.

Why does everyone always think they were TAKEN OFF, when maybe they left for better things? Most of these people are actors and they will leave if they get a better gig. Being on a cabel network isn't big money, just exposure.
