I rally like this show. Of course it's way over the top but the agents are not as brash or aggressive as those on Selling NYC. Also it's lots of fun to see the homes. Note the commissions over there are much lower than here in the States.

I've enjoyed the few times I've caught the show also. Yes, as you say, the homes are WAY more than you can imagine any family really living in (at least not MY lowbrow family) but it gives us a different view of London. A few years ago there was a show on that featured a lot of "regular" homes in England and I was (forgive me, any Brits reading this) thinking what horrible dowdy taste they all had. I've seen a much different side of London thru the Sell London show.

It's great fun to see these modern ultra-expensive homes. On a trip to England, usually tourists see only the old castles - gorgeous but no connection to reality. These homes, while beyond the reach of most of us, still show us how some people live there. Notice it's usually the Russians or Middle Easterners who buy these $100M homes. I love watching this show.

Love this show. Not that I am an expert on English homes, but I have seen many of these spectacular contemporary houses before, in magazines such as Architectural Digest, Interiors and Elle Decor, so I was not surprised to see them featured on this show.

It is such a refreshing change to see this kind of exciting interior decor. More, please.

London is so expensive that I often wondered as to how come "regular" people can afford to live there.
Belgravia was shown to us as one of the most expensive neighborhoods in London. But everything else was so expensive that homeownership in London, frankly I don't know who can afford it.

There are so many people with tons of cash there. On the show there are lots of non British who are buying the homes. I have seen the stately homes, including that of Princess Diana's family and they are really neat. The homes on this show are fabulous in their own way.

There are poorer neighborhoods that you're never going to see on a program like "Selling London" and owning your own home isn't quite as much of a norm in Britain, so a lot of people rent without feeling like they're falling short of social expectations. Then there are the suburbs -- the Greater London area is huge and a lot of working class people live in the suburbs and commute into the city.
