I love The Property Brothers. What they do to houses is amazing. My question is: what happens to the rooms and exterior that we don't see updated? Some of the rooms and baths, like the disgusting pink or blue ones, are also in need of renovation. Do the new owners just have to live with that or are they fixed up too?
I can't see buying a fixer-upper that looks run-down on the exterior, and has the kitchen and living rooms look like they came out of a magazine.
Just curious.

One of the Austin couples confirmed that they don't complete the remainder of the home. In fact, they stated that upon completion of the show reno, they weren't able to move in for months.

Nothing like having 2 monthly housing payments -

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
