I must say that adding the time adds so much pressure to the moment. Try it sometimes. It is wild but really fun!

JULIA!! JuliA! HAHAHAHA. You'll always be synonymous with that episode in my mind.

Your finished work at Rodney.Website looks great. Unlike the window install, the garden deck, garage reorganization.

Rodney, I've visited your website and read all the posts here. Admittedly, I was having fun reading and commenting until you wrote about how the show has affected your reputation in this business. Hopefully most people see American Handyman as pure entertainment.

Kudos to you for coming here to talk with your fans, share your insider's viewpoint, and post your website address.

While I'll always remember JUL-YAH! It makes me laugh, and that can't be a bad thing in this day and age.

Peace and good will to you, Rodney.

Sunny might not have completed her room, but she used her tools correctly, and read instructions. To me, her weakness was choosing Rodney, who I think is only a handyman in his own mind. He has no planning skills, no listening skills. Choosing him was like hiring a loose canon and leaving him to his own devices. Recipe for disaster.

Hello there! It is amazing to hear words like that being me. I have never in all my life heard such comments direct towards me but that is GOOD TV for you guys as they say. :-) I know because of editing and time they could not show the effects of Sonnie choosing me but you would have to have only been there in the studio to watch. There was 4 whole
hours of work you did not see. And if you could have seen it yourself, you would be singing a totally different song I am sure. I do find myself making excuses for what people saw and were GIVEN to see of my work an that is my only problem.

Yes, I am a loose cannon but I bet put on the same show being there yourself, you would have chosen me too. In that case, a loose cannon is exactly what she needed and what she got. We worked well together and got don't more in out time than Scott and Mike in the same. We came back from behind and got more done at the end under the circumstances. :-)

There was a quote made which will remain anonymous, which says, "Rodney, you told me that you were an interior guy, but I didn't believe ya." That person knows that after seeing me in that studio that day, they were watching me at my best doing what I do everyday and that it was amazing to watch.

One of the staff came to me and said, "Rodney we finally saw who you really are today and what your work is really like because you stole the show today man!! The only reason I did not leave that show feeling bad IS because of the last day and all of the comments the staff, my fellow contestants and even some Judges made. It was TOTAL! vindication for me. I am just sorry you couldn't see that. But it was "GOOD TV! Thanks for your comments because it is good for my blood pressure! LOL!!

Congrats to our winner! Alysonnie Shields!!!!!

I want to say Thanks for your comments. I do feel that they only come as compassion for me speaking of the effects of the show but I do think that most won't ever believe how really good I am except all of my customers and people who have seem my work throughout the years.

You're right, Rodney, it was "Good TV." I tuned in every week. Didn't dare miss an episode in real time.

Under the spotlight I couldn't do what you did with half the finesse or skill. I'm no contractor. Only the people you worked with on the show can truly judge your skill set. They saw your performance everyday. They knew your resume, your accomplishments.

I do apologize for my hasty words. The only reason I don't remove them is because it would mar the message board. It's easy to forget real people read these boards. I'll be more careful not to be so judgmental in future.

Namaste

I would imagine that HGTV does not mind me posting a web page since I was on the show for 3 weeks for free. Hope you enjoyed the site if you had a chance to visit. It is my passion and I hope it shows in my work.

Thanks

RDB

Thats why choosing me she did come out on top and she has relayed that message to me.
I would only hope you would have the chance to pull out some tools and try to do the same under the circumstances.

My site speaks for itself.
