I absolutely loved this episode. I actually teared up a couple times. You could really tell Leigh Ann's husband adores her and seeing her happy makes him happy.
Her closet at the end looked amazing. I also love the fact that they go a lot of the stuff from HomeGoods. Great episode
I liked it too - however, it seemed that by putting in the area for the wedding dress they deprived her of more hanging space. Perhaps not, but at the end it seemed her hanging things were sort of squashed in together. As far as the Home Goods advertisement - I have found some good things at Home Goods for clients, but object to being subjected to a half hour commercial masquerading as a design show. Do agree that it was sweet to see the interaction between the husband and wife.
A little off topic, but aren't the Color Splash Miami shows all a Home Goods advertisement? I've traveled over 400 miles 2 times looking for a H.G. store that looks like the ones on that show.

I'm not sure - I don't generally watch Color Splash. I do know David used IKEA cra...uh, STUFF several times.
HG is sort of a mixed bag - the one where I think they went last night is fabulous. It was my first HG store and I really loved it. There is one in Tucson that is very nice too. They just opened one a couple years ago in So. Austin and it's not nearly as terrific as the others I've been in. Probably depends on location. The very best ones are quite large and have pretty inexpensive items that when mixed with higher end stuff can create visual impact. I like that they show you can find interesting things without paying thru the nose, in many cases, but resent when they seem to use a show as advertisement such as Sabrina Soto has done with her show and Target.
I just couldn't watch this show...I couldn't get past the whole gushing over s woman who is SO wonderful. Not that this woman isn't a wonderful, sweet loving person I just don't see the need for a show to be based on it. Please just do the show without all that cr@p at the beginning.

Overall, loved the closet but noticed the same things, doodles. Although the wedding dress display was beautiful, the hanging space appeared totally inadequate. Don't believe she had adequate space to give up one section for display purposes, only.
Couldn't stand the HG advertisement, like all of you. (Hated it on CS, also.) Had to laugh when Jared said something about the fun of going shopping w/Beth - and then they apparently only visited HG!
The couple seemed very nice but I'm with you on the gushing, Deb. Thought that was Mrs. Stern's doing. Sorry - can't stand her. Too funny when she stated during the reveal that the wedding dress display was her idea. Didn't we all see them copy that from Dina's closet? Ok, ok - her idea to copy it - is that what she meant? whatever -This message has been edited. Last edited by: bballdays,
The clients seemed very nice, but I thought Beth Stern was a twit and Dina Manzo's house was awful!!! Dina really lives up to the preconcieved notion of tacky Jersey Housewife. Sweet lady, but trashy Vegas taste. IMHO of course.

It was ok - Beth definitely goofed when she told the mom that "this will pale in comparison" when referring to a closet on that sex in the city show. I also thought they lowered the ceiling too much and the wedding dress in a case was a bit much.
Hopefully they won't be making trips to HomeGoods every week.
Agree with most of what's been said. Beth was okay, but I find it kind of offensive that the host doesn't have a clue what it's like to be a Mom or take care of a home.
She has people to take care of her every whim and likely never lifts a finget except to take out Howard's charge card to purchase another Chanel bag. lol Hopefully, the show will improve....This message has been edited. Last edited by: Marguerite21,
I thought the show was awful, almost laughable. Beth Stern throwing around the buzz words "pop of color" throughout the show was pretty annoying. She is not a good host. She is attractive, but not very good on TV.
Another HGTV faux celebrity-designer - she definitely looked like she was auditioning for Bravo's RH. (So happy I've never seen any of those - ) Or believed that's what she was on -
Nice of tptb (no coincidence, obviously) that they began airing this as he begins some new NBC gig.
Beth is the best childless host of a show for moms. www.bethfanpage.blogspot.com Go Beth! You have tons of fans that love you helping moms ditch their kids and promote useless crappy items to put in your "mom cave" aka, bedroom, closet, family room.
