I have a memory box that has cream color material on it. It picks up every piece of dirt and shows it. I am interested in tea staining it, but everything I can find talks about "immersing" into water. Any suggestions how to tea stain the memory box without ruining it?

Rub a sopping wet tea bag over the box and it should pick up the tea stain. I used this method to tea stain a wall papered in books and it turned out great!

Sorry to contact this way but had a question for you. Do you think it is possible to use that technique on wooden kitchen cabinet doors?

I used a wet teabag to stain a small treasure chest for my friends son. It took a few times to get it as dark as I wanted but it was great. I let it dry good between stainings.
