Perhaps now that fall is here, more people will join us. How is your clutter cleaning going?
I love to craft
It is so much fun
If my room were uncluttered
I'd get so much more done
So I pledge today
To do my fifteen
So that soon I might say
MY CRAFTROOM IS CLEAN!

Ihaven't been getting much done. I am retiring (after almost 30 yrs) on the 28th (maybe the 27th, we will see). However, I am getting started again today. I am finishing up some swaps and putting things away slowly. I am hoping by the day I retire, I will have both the kitchen island and the dining room table clear at the same time!

How has everything been going for you?

Well still not much activity around here. Today (on my first full day of being retired)I managed to sort thru the accumulation of stuff that I had in my office at work. Found places for some of the stuff but not all of it.

Just got back from dropping off a large bag of clothes in the charity bin. Next I need to carry another bag out to the trash. Cleared off half the pants rack and half of my section of the closet. Removed any thing that didn't fit or was stained or damaged. DH will be happy to have more room for his clothes. Tomorrow I will tackle the shelves and maybe a dresser. Felt good to get them out of the house right away.

Hi everyone.

For the last couple week we,( by we, I mean DH,) have been working on redoing the bathroom. He got really ambitious, besides putting in a new tub and some plumbing, he add a light above the mirror, another outlet and even cut the trim work himself.
Now we are down to the finishing touches. (This is my job) I need to do a little touch up on the paint, Add some accents and make new curtains. That means a trip to Joann's for the right color material.

The weather here was nice yesterday so I took time to plant my tulip bulbs.

I can't hardly believe it's been 5 days since I last posted.

At last, the bathroom is finished, except for the curtain, and all the tools have been taken back to the garage.

Since the weather has gotten chilly here in western Pa., I'll be hand quilting that quilt I sandwiched this spring.

How/what is everyone else doing?

Hi granny! It's good that the tools are all put away. That is my biggest challenge with DH. When he finishes a job, the tools never seem to make it back to his work bench.

It is getting cooler here in Central Md too. What part of Western Pa are you in? I went to college in Clarion and my folks were from Armstrong and Clarion counties.

I had a very week. I spent a day in the basement, straightening up and then dh and I went and got tile to redo the floor. We had laminate but when our ac drain backed up, it was ruined. I decided that tile was the way to go. Now dh has to get the old floor up and I will start putting the tiles down. I also spent a day cleaning the kitchen - washing the windows, clearing and washing all the stuff on the counters, cleaning out the frig and pantry. It looks pretty good now.

Isn't it amazing how stuff seems to just multiply on its own.

Way to go mira'smom....Sorry to hear about the water damage. There's always something to repair that keeps us away from crafting.

I still haven't gotten to Joann's to get material for the bathroom curtains. Good thing that window faces open fields. LOL

I found a wooden napkin/salt and pepper holder at GW that I liked. I tore it apart, sanded the old ratty finish off, and painted it. The final clear coat has cured overnight so I'll be gluing it back together today.

I live in the lower western corner of Jefferson County.

So not too far from where I spent time! My mom grew up in Rural Valley in Armstrong County and my dad in New Bethlehem in Clarion.

I got a 16x4 foot section of the floor down and grouted. It is now ready for me to move furniture on so I can start another section. Once we get the floor done, I will start organizing my supplies and culling some. However, in the meantime, I will be adding to the collection big time. My scrapbooking store (which I love and thought I would be spending lots of time at now that I retired) is closing by the end of November. I will be going tomorrow morning for the start of the going out sale and will be stocking up on things I want that I can't get at the chain stores. I am really sad about this.

Well it has been a month since the last post on this thread, so I guess Clutter Cleaners has come to an end after all these years.

Take care everyone.

I will also miss Clutter Cleaners.

Can you think of anyway we can breath life back into it?

I wish I did. I have been in and out of Clutter cleaners since practically the beginning, usually out when work got to hectic. I don't know what we could do to get others to join in - the post seemed to get lots of looks just few posts.

I will miss being encouraged by you, but it has been just 3 or 4 of us for the last while....

I'll stay if you folks do, I really liked checking out Clutter Cleaners almost everyday. I will even improve my posting, I didn't always post as often as I should have.

I have been enjoying HGTV message boards for years. I don't post much, but enjoy looking at them every day.For some reason I couldn't get on one day, and had to change my board name to some thing else. I was glad to get back on again, since this is the first thing I do in the morning is have my coffee and read posts. I hope this board stays open.
I will be retiring from work in January, and have been trying to clean out my craft room.
Which is a on going thing. I need to learn how to organize better.
Have a great day everyone.
