GONE are the days of a decent craft show. I was disgusted by the most recent craft show that was aired on ION television. The craft was small cones with tassels hung from them and hung from their bosoms. I am sorry, but at that hour of the morning!!!! Then they danced around with these things on their bosoms. I don't believe an alcoholic beverage even counts as a craft. Where did the classy shows go? We need another Carol Duvall. We need more Martha. These chicks are not what I want, and I am sure there are others who agree.

What was the name of the show? I get ION and don't remember seeing any craft shows like that. And what time is it on?

It was called she's crafty, very young and hip show. Some good ideas. Not that day...Feb 13 or 14. I was just disgusted. Lacks the class of carol, Martha, or all of carols guests combined.

No show will ever be of the quality of Carol, or even Martha. But I did watch the show "She's Crafty" on the 14th and didn't see them wear or dance around with the 'pasties'. Altho I'm told that they did make them on another show.

And the things that I saw her make were of the same quality as what Carol made. IMHO

Hi,

Not a day goes by that I don't miss the Martha Stewart show. I just began crafting in December 2011 for Christmas. So I only started watching her show last year and I got so many ideas for gifts from watching her show. Although, I found some of the crafts rather frustrating since she made it look so easy, but most of them came out really great so they were worth the frustration. I did find some different craft shows on public television. There is scrapbook memories/scrapbook soup. I am not a scrapbooker, but they do a lot of different types of projects. Then there is bake/decorate celebrate which makes me want to make cookies and cake. Both of these air at around 5 am, on channel 268 on comcast. (I did not even know that those channels came with basic cable.) there is also knitting daily which airs in the afternoon on channel 22. They also have shows on sewing and beading, but I have not watched those. I really miss having crafts on a daily talk show though. But I am really glad I found this forum.

Welcome to the boards Nicole. We're so glad to have you.

Yes, almost all the crafting shows are gone. So we plug away here. It's such a shame that they aren't on anymore as there as still people who like to craft. And the younger generation seems to not be interested. And that's a shame. I only have one grand-daugher who crafts some, out of 8 grand kids. (I count boys too.!!!) Not any of my 4 kids craft altho each of them can be a little crafty once in awhile. Especially one son.

So you keep coming back and I hope we inspire you and you inspire us. Smile

Jean
