Adhesive for Glass Stones??
(Sorry, one photo is sideways...)

A friend of mine wants to know what adhesive would be best for these applications...
glass stones on wood
glass stones on cow skull

She said it looks as if they spread the adhesive on the object, then pressed the stones into the adhesive.

These are the glass stones normally put in the bottom of clear vases.

Thanks in advance!

I have seen them done with grout and also silicone adhesive. I can't really see the pictures well enough to offer any other suggestions.

Clear silicone caulk (or for faster setting), a clear two part epoxy could work well for the glass and anything listed to attach it to.

It appears to be black. ???

Can you get the silicone adhesive in colors?

I haven't seen these in person myself.

I did my own search - yes, you can get it in black.

THANKS for the suggestions. I'll pass the word along.

On using the clear silicone:

If the base item to attach the glass is pre colored or painted, the clear silicone would allow that color to come through also...especially if the glass stones were transparent.

It can take a few weeks for the clear silicone to become clear as it cures, it will be milky at first.

Bump...

It's kinda cool to see the glass stones adhered to something other than a bowling ball. Which reminds me, I have at least 3 bowling balls waiting...
