What is the best way to age/antique? Sign In/Join

I have a Victorian cast brass keyhole cover polished brass finish that I want to age/antique for a crafting project. I've read about using ammonia fumes, soaking in a darkener solution such as Jax, using a metal finish spray paint. I don't know what to use, what is the best? TIA

There are lots of ways,& paints for aging ,google antiquing brass.or look at the craft shre in the paint area. Hope this helps. It seems this site isn't crafty/ art anymore, just decluttering .which has no interest to me. I want to see art projects.
