I must have hundreds if not a thousand dollars worth of stamps, some slightly used or new. I packed them up when DH reclaimed my bedroom studio for his office. What do I do with them? I know I will never recoup their worth and I am not keen on dealing with on-line selling. I know I could donate them, perhaps a portion annually and have a write off. Is the latter my best option? Has anyone here dealt with a similar dilemma?

If you don't need the cash, that might be the easiest way. Other options - if there is a craiglist in your area, you could list them in batches and see if you can sell them that way. You could meet the buyers somewhere so you don't have to have them come to your home. Another option - I don't know where you live, but some of the rubber stamp or scrapbook stores I have been to, have a "yard sale" where people can sell items they have that they no longer want. You usually get "yard sale" money that you can exchange for new merchandise in the store. While you won't get what you invested, it would be some return.

Thank you for your ideas. The craft store sale would not work as I would prefer a monetary recoup, in part anyway. I have never done Craig's list and am reluctant to do so due to some horror stories even if others clam success via that route.

Do you Ebay? I have bought stamps from there. You might be able to sell them as a lot. Maybe you can get a table at a craft show and and sell them as scrap booking supplies.
