What better way to start your New Year?!!! Clutter cleaners is open to everyone who needs some inspiration getting their craftrooms cleaned up! Just a little bit every day can go along way. So, spend aat least 15 minutes decluttering and your time in your craftroom will be more enjoyable. Now, of course, there is the daily work that gets in the way of having fun but when you post it you can see what you have accomplished! Join in, work, clean, declutter, craft, and POST...POST...POST! I love to craft It is so much fun If my room were uncluttered I'd get so much more done So I pledge today To do my fifteen So that soon I might say MY CRAFTROOM IS CLEAN! Sorry for posting this twice but l'm so proud of my DGKs that l want to see it here on the New Year's post, too! l am happy to report that my is clean! Master bathroom --clean Master bedroom-- clean Living room-- clean Dining room-- clean Kithen-- clean Hall bathroom-- clean Guest room-- clean Craftroom-- clean Laundry-- all done! And l have done very little of it!!! l got up Monday morning and the Christmas Cleaning Elves had taken down my tree and put everything back out in the shed. l must have been very good this year!!! Then 2 of my DGks (ages 9 and 13) came out to spend the week and took pity of Grandma. ( l overdid it last week sewing Christmas gifts and hurt my back! ) They wanted to go out to eat Wed night so they earned the money to pay for it by cleaning. They did such a good job we took them out for Pizza last night, too. And they did an excellent job of it from ceiling fans to toilets! l'm proud of them. My back is about back to normal but DH is still making me take it easy and he bound the 2 quilts l didn't get done. Can it get any better than this? What a wonderfully blessed New Year's Day l have had! Church was awesome this morning with the sweet heavenly spir it filling my heart. Afterwards l got to see DGD$2 (1y/o) joyfully open a Christmas gift. She knows what to do with gift bags. Out comes the paper to get to the goodies inside. So cute! Then on to my Uncle Aunt house for dinner. l was thrilled to get to spend time with my cousins, aunts and uncle visiting and eating delicious food! Fellowship, Fun, Family, Food. lt doesn't get much better than that! Oh, with some football to round out the day! Hope you are feeling much better Rainbow. Sounds like you have some great helpers!!! Right now my house is a disaster.  As soon as all the Christmas decorations are sent to the basement, there will be a big improvement. So things will get done one day at a time. | |||

Rainbow, can you send some of your help my way? Hope you are feeling better. I haven't gotten much done since I went back to work on the 3rd. Been so busy I don't be to leave on time. I did get the tree down and those decorations put away, but the rest are still out. This weekend, they should get taken care of. I did find a couple of items I had bought to make Christmas presents with and have decided to make them up over the next month or so, to get a headstart on next year. | ||||

afternoon all i am making progress with afghan number 4 am partway thru row 2 am hoping to have that row done this week and start on the next row and start putting the first 2 rows together so it wont take as long after all the squares are done i figure if i put the rows together as i complete them i will atleast see the progress i am making i am doing good with the housework and doing some decluttering i did get my craft room straightened up since i have a houseguest for awhile while he is looking for a place to live and get some money saved up he is 19 and can pretty much take care of himself so i dont have any extra put on me which helps hubby is doing alot of the heavy cleaning like the mopping and vacuuming and his own laundry i am doing the rest of the laundry and the dishes and so on have a good day all | ||||

Not all Christmas deco are put away yet. Only a few things left floating around the house! Will keep the snowmen out for a while since it is winter!! Our county is collecting winter clothes for "Layers of Hope", and I have a couple winter coats to donate. Need to pop them in the dryer on "air" to freshen them up. They have been hanging in the hall closet for ever, so maybe somebody else will get some good use out of them. | |||

My old computer is starting to function just like me...........only part of the time..  In the past week I've got the Christmas decorations all carried upstairs, they still need to go to the attic. I cleaned out my dresser, 6 large drawers,4 small drawers, and straightened up DH's closet. I took a garbage bag of clothes and a grocery bag of books to GW. Count your blessings, no matter how small they are. | |||

mira'smom, sorry but my help has gone back to school now.  Good for you for getting a head start on Christmas for this year!l'm taking a different approach this year. l'm making some Christmas items (Christmas placemats, table runners, that sort of things) for birthday gifts! That way come Christmas they can use them instead of getting them on Christmas Eve and having to put them up for a year. What l'll do for Christmas gifts l don't know yet, but it seems every year l don't get the Christmas items made for Christmas gifts. lt will be strange for some to get them in March, June and July but l think they'll like it when they see the reasoning behind it. steph, way to go with your decluttering even with a house guest. Sounds like he's a pretty good one, too. Will he be with you much longer? Keep up the crocheting and you'll get it done. l'm working on a baby afghan for the first time in years and years. lt's for a young lady that l made a baby afghan for when she was born 25 years ago. She's excepting her first baby girl. Funny thing is l had to go buy yarn to make it! l can't remember the last time l actually had to buy yarn. Wiley, remember all that baby yarn you sent me years ago? What l didn't use up then my sister has. She started crocheting about the time l had to quit b/c of my hands/wrist. Mary J, Way to go helping others by donating your old coats! l usually keep my snowmen out through January but this year they didn't make it out of their tote! l do, however, keep DGD#1's snowman she made in kindergarten in a cabinet so l got it out and it's sitting on the entertainment center now. Granny Quilts, you are the queen of decluttering!!! Way to go taking so much out the door to donate! l walked into my closet the other day and told myself l need to get rid of some things l don't wear and then walked back out. l'm suffering from l might still wear that symdome! l'm not real bad but l do know it's time to let go of some clothes. This week l did clean out a drawer in my filing cabinet. Shredded some papers, tossed some and have some to give away. That's one job l have been putting off for a long time. Glad to get it done. Otherwise the house is still clean. lt doesn't take to long to reclean it after a good decluttering cleaning! And l've been putting away my sewing supplies when l finish whatever l'm working on! l'm trying to stay in that habit. l hope everyone is staying warm. lf not, get up and declutter!!!! (You knew l was going to say that, didn't you?!) And then Post, Post, Post!!! rainbow he will probrobably(sp) only be with us about a month or so he is quiet and we hardly know he is around he is a senior in high school and works at arby's so he isnt here very much it gave me the motivation to get my craft room straightened up which helped me out alot mentally i am about 1/2 way thru row 2 of afghan number 4 so am still hoping to finish up this week if not i will have it done the beginning part of next week then on to row 3 when my house guest moves into his own apartment he will need some things to get started so between my daughter and me we will give him some towels and dishes and pots and pans and anything else he might need that we can help him out with so i will get some more things out of my house i know i have a dresser also that he could take and use and a desk that matches the dresser if he wants it hope everyone has a good weekend | ||||

Steph, you'll get to do some major decluttering when he moves out then, by helping him get set up on his own. That will be wonderful for you both. wiley, l'm thinking 8 or 9 years ago! We still lived in town then and we've lived out here for almost 7 years now. Just think we've been registered on here for almost 10 years now. What did we do before that? Glad you liked my grands pic. She's a charmer! Well, today l picked up the few things that the little charmer left laying around this weekend. l also washed the cat's quilt. l know it's time to wash it when she's lays beside it instead of on it! l cooked supper and cleaned up the kitchen. My step mom also came over to visit. Not much else. l was kind of lazy today. How's the cleaning and decluttering going? What shape is your craftroom in? RAINBOW.....What a cute little clutter cleaner.  Our bedroom is almost done. I got DH to go through his clothes in His closet. He took out one suit that is too tight and a pair of slacks because he didn't like the zipper flap on them. (I'm not doing his dresser is time) Mondays I always do a water change on one of the aquariums. Count your blessings, no matter how small they are. | |||

Good question, Rainbow. I know I did very little decluttering and didn't have a clue how to make "quilty" stuff. Yesterday I put together a couple of quilt tops for a Project Linus group. And used fabric from my stash which always helps my decluttering. | |||

Keep up the good work. lt does pay off! wiley, l know my house was much to cluttered, too. And l was spending most of my time crocheting in front of the tv! l did more little girl sewing then, too. Now, l'm using up those scraps making quilts. Seems we've both switched to quilting but you get more quilts made than l do. l've Subbed everyday this week and it's been one of the longest and hardest weeks, too. l'm glad it's Friday! l really haven't done anything this week but cook supper and do dishes (when DH doesn't do them ). l hope to do some sewing tomorrow. Hi all, got super busy at work and haven't done much for a bit, but last night I found a burst of energy and got all the laundry done as well as cleaned out the frig. I am now working on using some stuff from my stash to make something for a Valentine's swap I am doing. I also have been spending a little time organizing my stamping supplies so I can find them quicker when I want to use them. Sounds like all of you have been busy. Rainbow that granddaugher sure is cute. | ||||

I haven't gotten very much done since I posted last. I was given one of those planted gardens from the florists,he said that they always die for him. The plants that were in it had different light and water requirements, so I re-potted every thing. Ended up with 7 more containers too find room for. Then the filter on the big aquarium decided to start spitting water out over the back of the tank. It had only managed to spit out 1 gallon of water before I noticed it but that was enough to make a mess. So I had to tear it down and show it who was boss. I did manage to take some clothes out of my close and pack them for the local women's shelter. Count your blessings, no matter how small they are. | |||

After my burst of energy the other day, I came down with a horrendous cold, so not more decluttering for me this week. I did see a new technique on the internet this weekend and decided to try it as I had everything I needed in my stash! I think it turned out pretty good but am waiting to see if I like it as much once it is dry... | ||||

mira'smom, l hope you are feeling better. What were you making to use the new technique? Don't you just love swaps for using up stash? Keep it up. Granny, sounds like you've been busy even without decluttering. ls that veggies or flowers? Will you be able to put them outside this spring? And good for you for going through more clothes. My only decluttering has been sewing from my stash. l've made 2 table runners, a set of 4 placemats and 4 pillowcases. Just trying to use up some old so l can buy some new! LOL This month is almost gone. Have you accomplished what you wanted to this month?
