I am making jewelry tiers with dishes and candlesticks; instead of using silicone , I am using E6000. However it is much drippier than silicone and is dripping down my glass ware. I suppose I can use a razor when it hardens, but is there anything else to get the drips off?

I also used permanent marker to try to mark my spot on the underneath glass dish and it shows, how do I get it off also?

One more thing..any ideas of how to better glue the dishes and candlestick together? There is not much surface room on the candle stick for the glue. It is not a flat surface.I am afraid I may have to take it apart if it starts to fall apart, but this is the prettiest one I have done so far.
Anyone have experience working with thin lipped glass ware and glue?

Marker on glass? Try acetone nail polish remover or WD40? If you have any plastic/plexiglass items...then use liquid lighter fluid for cleaning.

If these are exposed to the elements or outside, I would sure use an exterior rated clear silicone caulk. And if you want it to stay together for a LONG time, even if indoors...use the Silicone. It is so much better at holding and filling gaps than the E6000.

On the E6000 - The adhesive bond can be broken through the use of the solvent like acetone, toluene, or naphtha. Applying a small amount of solvent to the glue can cause it to break up, freeing whatever it has come into contact with. Try some nail polish remover.
Sometimes on glass surfaces the glue can be lifted by using a razor blade and pulling it off.

The permanent marker - also try using nail polish remover. If that doesn't work you can lightly sand it off.

In the future you might want to use a dry erase marker to mark your glass.

Thanks , this has come in handy. Trying to get the marker off, but I seem to have glued over it. But I will be more careful ..dry erase...yup. Definitely dont like E6000, back to silicone.Thanks again!
