Why does everyone on this show and some others now have to argue all the time? Constantly the owners and the designers and her crew must argue to the camera. ratings? not for me!! i turn the channel when this happens. I hate arguing!! not a good change, who ever thought this up should be fired.

There is a raging debate at the Favorite Shows board on Love It or List It.

Keep in mind, it is not a home improvement show, it is a loosely scripted reality show. It is all about the conflict and the drama. Would people watch survivor without the drama/conflict?

Unfortunately HGTV has gotten away from their roots on how-to programming. They set up another channel to cover that called DIY. None of the shows at either channel are really about DIY anymore, the most you'll get out of any of them is ideas for your own projects. You won't get the skills needed to pull it off by watching the shows though.

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Tex,

You won't find it at HGTV, and no one, myself included, who reads these boards can do anything about it. HGTV doesn't really care and they don't read the boards looking for comments or ideas. Complaining here won't change a thing.

Ten years ago there were good shows on TLC and HGTV now it is Honey Boo-Boo and House Hunters. I blame it all on Anna Nicole Smith and "E". When people started watching that train wreck of a show there was a race to the bottom.
