Need master bedroom advice

My husband and I just bought our home last year and then shortly after deployed. I love our master bedroom, but it's plain and a little boring. We have a lot of black furniture. I want to add a romantic feeling to the room and change a few things before he comes home in August. I need some advice for decorating on a tight budget.
