Hey, how do I enter the renovation rescue sweepstakes from the Pacific Time Zone? I watched Property Brothers at 9 pm Pacific time, and they posted the clue twice for the sweepstakes. They announced "Go to HGTV.com/rescue right now and enter." Once at about 9:20 pm and once at about 9:50 pm. So I went online right away, but the contest was already closed! I see the rules say the contest closes at midnight Eastern Time. Am I ever going to be able to get the clue in time for the contest? Not fair for those of us on the West Coast!!! Can this be fixed???
OK, it just happened again. 10:34 pm Pacific time. Watching Handyman Challenge. They announced the clue. "Go to HGTV.com right now and enter." I went online immediately but the contest was closed. Ahhhhh..." Surely HGTV is aware that the United States covers 3 time zones? People in all time zones should have the same chance to enter. I think they should postpone their sweepstakes till they fix this.
I sure would like a reply from HGTV on this. Just saw another ad on HGTV at 9 pm just before the new "Love it or List it" episode for the $50,000 renovation rescue prize "starting at 9 pm, 8 pm Central time" every Sunday. No mention of Pacific time. Am I going to have the same problem next week? Is anyone else in the Pacific Time zone having this same problem?
Mary39, I went on the Chat Line and asked about the time problem. HGTV is aware and starting next week and for the remaining nine weeks they will extend the time to 3:00AM Eastern time to allow the people on the west coast to enter the contest.
They apologize for the inconvenience.
