i have been watching Love it or List it all day today, and one thing i have seen as a expected thing that happens. there is always something that has to be let go from the list because of some kind of "Unexpected" upgrade or problem or issue. if it happens this often then it should be "EXPECTED" and when they give you 60,000.00 for the upgrades/remodel, 10,000.00 should be set aside for this upgrade. NOT ONE SHOW i have watched for over 6 hours has given the person everything they wanted in their remodel. NOT ONE, this is ********. if this happens ALL the time you would figure the Remodel contractor would give a pad for something "wrong" to happen. this show is so so so disappointing!!
Welcome to the boards. There are probably only about 2 dozen threads on this particular show will roughly the same observation in this sub board alone.
This kind of reminds of a rainy day many years ago. I went to a girl friend's house in the early 1990's. We had planned a day of bike riding but the weather didn't cooperate. So we were hanging around her house flipping through the channels and stopped on a Gilligan's Island Marathon. Did you know that on EVERY EPISODE they were "this close" to being rescued? But something always went wrong and it was usually Gilligan's fault.
This isn't real life, it is reality TV, a.k.a. entertainment. Kudo's for you being able to watch more than one episode in a row.
Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.
I am not an employee of HGTV, nor is anyone else that posts here.
My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
