This is my favorite show but I feel the people who are show just use this show as a way to get their home a higher appraisal for their sale.
They allow such a SMALL budget for these MAJOR repairs they want (a new furnace, new wiring, etc are maintenance issues the homeowners should have fixed before a remodel).
To me it seems the homeowners obviously use the designers to just get a higher market value for their home so they can list it. I would like to see follow up to the people who did choose to Love It if they actually decided to keep it when they saw their new higher appraised value of their home.
It's one thing to have the designers come in to help make better organization and flow to the existing home but to have them create additional square footage seems unreasonable.
The homeowners want to only put in $30,000 - $50,000 for remodels but will agree to purchase a new home for $100,000 more than their current home is worth. There is no balance.
I would have vented my opinions in the message board section for the shows but there isn't one for this show. May I suggest that one be added?
Thank you
