I am so terribly disappointed in my favorite channel. I feel that we, as loyal Americans, are being betrayed to see an ad for Aljazeera
network on this station. There was even subtle propaganda included. I will find something else to watch until those ads are removed.

I suspect that ad is run by your local cable company. The CATV provider has several slots in shows on HGTV, DIY et al to insert their own ads. That's why you'll see commercials on HGTV for a local car dealership or local home improvement company.

I haven't seen the commercial you're referring to. Partly because when Al Gore sold Current TV to Al Jazeera Time Warner Cable dropped the channel from the line up. Not that I was a fan of the channel before, anyone that would hire Keith Olbermann isn't going to get my eyeball time.

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

How sad that you have started using Aljazeera ads. I must now never watch my favorite channel again. Your decision surprises and angers me. What are you thinking? I didn't know you would only be about the almight dollar. So disappointing. Please advertise your change of policy on TLC so I will know when I can return.

Did you happen to read my post? I've never seen an Al Jazeera ad on DIY or HGTV or Food or Cooking or Travel Channel (all Scrips channels). Likely because Time Warner Cable doesn't have Al Jazeera in our line up. The commercials are inserted by your cable company, complain to them. HGTV doesn't control all of the commercial time on their channels.
