I DVR the decorating shows so it doesn't matter to me when they air. The fact that you replaced them on Saturday evenings with more Love it or List it repeats was frustrating.

In December the only new episodes where from The High Low Project which I adore. However it was all alone at 6PM. I like the variety you had going. Some HGTV long time hosts and the new shows that were aired in the Summer of 2011 and early 2012. They weren't all winners but there were a couple of good ones.

Please HGTV bring back an assortment of shows. Gardening, Decorating. Please stop running repeats of any show that does relatively well in the ratings. It seems like you destroy those shows by airing them so darn many times a week.

I also miss the classic decorating shows, especially Curb Appeal and anything with Vern Yip. I loathe Love it or List it and am not crazy about the proliferation of remodel fixer uppers, since they do not do as good a job as The Property Brothers did. Also miss Jody and the For Rent program. Worst of all is the lack of choice of the older programs on our "On Demand" channel. I'd happily watch Curb Appeal or Trading Spaces again, even though I've watched them all numerous times -- so much more entertaining than the current lot.

Trading Spaces got sued. I doubt it will come back, it was a miserable show. Remember when one of them glued HAY to the walls of one great big place? I recall one episode also where actual moss- yes, MOSS- that green, smelly plant like thing was used to cover an entire wall- in a house with CHILDREN. Then, the "decorator" used USED eggshells(!) broken in half, and put candles in them- for a "romantic" feel. Hmm.. used eggshells.. old moss.. can you imagine the stench? Gross!
I think that was the episode in question where the homeowners successfully won either a settlement, or a suit against the show (even though they sign an agreement beforehand) because it was so atrocious. That show was nothing but lawsuit waiting to happen. Glad it's gone.
