Her last post was September 20, 2010. She has either been let go or her responsibilities have changed at Scripts Howard.

The boards are essentially on auto-pilot and have been for years.

General Disclaimer

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I have been writing e-mails for a few years about Abby G's absence. I am so tired of banging my head into a brick wall, but I am a glutton for punishment...so today I contacted the Chat Line. The young lady I talked to said she would pass the word to the proper department. I know this doesn't mean anything will get done, but at least I know someone actually read my request. Maybe if enough people contacted the Chat Line someone would actually take notice.

sallysmom, You can reach the Chat Line by scrolling down to the bottom of this page and clicking on "Contact us". There will be a box that says "Live Help - Chat Now". It is located above the e-mail form. You can only reach the Chat Line Mon thru Fri between 9:30 and 5:00. Sometimes I have trouble getting to the Chat Line. I don't know why that happens.

The ladies on the Chat Line are helpful and try to get answers for you. I believe they are the best way to get a message to the correct department at HGTV.

I can't even get it to work!

Just watching a rerun from this year of House Hunters, where the realtor pronounced "faux" as "fox". How unfortunate Frown.

And it's even more unfortunate that they haven't updated anything like "Abby" if she's no longer with us.
