While I saw no advertising promoting the latest Sarah's House, I can't seem to escape the innumerable ads for LoveIt or ListIt, which IMHO is a program of much lower caliber.

Does HGTV purposely promote the shows that are not doing well? Subsequently do they under advertise the shows they feel viewers will seek out on their own?
