I just turned HGTV off because this DIY Channel show has just hit a new low. As if the over-the-top testosterone displays in the past weren't enough, I just watched a group of thugs demolish perfectly-good bath and kitchen cabinets for the sake of cheap theatrics. WHY weren't these items carefully removed and donated, perhaps to Habitat for Humanity? Because ratings are more important than helping those in need, obviously. HGTV, you should be ashamed of yourselves for putting this garbage on the air.

Kitchenguy - I completely agree. I just registered on this site to ask the same question and voice the same concern. Several homeowners would be more than happy to have those cabinets, fixtures, etc. in their home.

100% AGREE! SHAMEFUL and WASTEFUL. HGTV no longer showing anything worth watching. The economy is in stress and they continue to destroy and throw away good items that coule be used for those less fortunate. All DRAMA with no substance.

I actually took the 20 mins to sign up on this site to post the same comment. what a waste of excellent product that could have been used in less fortunate locations. Absolutely selfish, I turned it off as well.

I just registered for the same reason. My husband and I are watching this show and I was almost in tears at the waste. We are remodeling our home and we remove everything carefully and either donate to Habitat for Humanity or repurpose. Kitchen cabinets moved for use in the basement workshop. HGTV should be ashamed to allow the smashing of usable items items for the sake of entertainment. Appalling waste!

I am so disappointed that Amhed Hassan is no longer a part of the Yard Crashers and the team of the Crashers' Ultimate Shows. I will no longer support the Yard Crashers' Show or Ultimate Crash Show if Amhed is not appearing. And yes, I've given the new host a chance! However, the newest host, Matt does not have the enthusiasm, personality or appeal that Amhed has. I am so disappointed and no word to we the fans who love your network and Yard Crashers as to why Amhed is no longer the host of Yard Crashers or Ultimate Crash. I will continue to watch House Hunters, Beautiful Homes, House Crashers and Kitchen Cousins; however, I will no longer watch Yard Crashers if Amhed is not the host. You HGTV executives need to fix this and fix it quick as many of your Texas viewers feel as I do!!!!!!!

I agree with Kitchenguy and others. I signed up just to post a comment on the terrible waste. I know they work on timelines and the like, but if you're going to tout "Going Green" you should walk the walk not just talk the talk!

We did a whole house remodel and gave away or donated EVERYTHING that could be salvaged. We drove our contractor crazy, but he understood how important it was to us and worked along with us to make it happen.

Everything either went to friends, were reused in the new model, were sold, or went to the Habit for Humanity thrift store, or even the local Salvation Army. Not only is it greener, but you can even get a tax break. It's a win for everyone and for the environment!

I just watched what was clearly a re-run of this...sorry, a little behind. I was starting to get used to seeing excess on HGTV, but this went over the limit. The programs used to be full of great doable designs, the crash shows started out helping people who needed it rather than destroying a house that was perfectly fine house and wasting soooo many re-usable things. Cabinets, a stacked stone fireplace, sinks, relatively nice fixtures...these things could have gone completed so much finish work on a home for a family that needed it. I am so disppointed in the new programming, it is time for a switch to a new channel. Time to get back to basics HGTV, you have forgotten where it is you came from.
