mla196Steps on a shallow grade
Hi,
I'm trying to design steps on a shallow grade with 63in of total rise and 340in of run.
I'm trying to stick to the recommended rise to run ration where run+2*rise=26, but this won't work in this case. It seems that I would need to make steps with 7in runs and about 40in in run. I'm worried that this may be awkward. Do you have any suggestions?
Thx
Matt

Chuck SteakDo it in sections separated by flat walks, either three sets of three steps each or a four step and a five step area. In either case you'd end up with a total of about twenty feet of flat walks.
